It's my understanding that this issue is not resolved. It's also my understanding that this melee, that was meant to be a Death Match, has not been properly judged and ruled as such. SO here's my 2 coppers worth...

GREAT! You have rules in the room header- Not so great? I read the rules. Your rules state clearly that it is standard Gorean 1-2-1 combat system. But did you actually employ it? No. But just like the democraps claim there's a gun show loop hole, anyone reading this can see you clearly have a loophole that works in your favor.. "By OUR method"... Is it standard or is it TGF rules?
I'll stop there, the rest was what it was.

In my book, you are alive and well. As long as you have not publically accepted the death, which I am unsure of if this is the case.

If the scoll I have is correct and has been released to the general public, then this needs to be looked at by someone other than myself. I would welcome EDUCATED, RESPECTFUL AND ON TOPIC dissection of this. (To make myself abundantly clear- if you are not a Warrior or otherwise educated and trained in Gorean combat, please refrain from comment. Thanks)
If the scoll has not been released, I will post it forthwith.

You could take that attitude toward it. Or we could be constructive about it. You walked in to CPO a few nights ago and claimed that the best man to be in Port Olni was me. This is why, it's not personal, I barely know Mortimas, but I do know combat.
Don't really give a damn Bart. No-one asked you to step into i, at this point but by all means, do go ahead and weasel Morty back to life. Talarius can attest to the fact that Mort accepted it at the time. The gladius was in My profile at the time, final sentence of it. I removed it once I felt no further need for it. Ok, so do you want my honest 2 cents here? The fact that Mortimas, a WARRIOR, did not swiftly and judiciously respond with deadly force against an attack by a FARMER? That's the only reason I will not advocate for this whole shit show, sloppy ESPECIALLY for you, melee. Be pissed, nobody's trying to bring anyone back to life, Haigan. But for a moment, take a look at the scroll, it took me 3 seconds to point out the issues, and remove the names. NOW judge it. Results?

I'm simply going to point out a few things. First I gave Mortimas an option to fight it out in Ven'dara with Judges and he didn't do that. This was what He chose. He also accepted the death in front of witnesses. Was it a clean fight? Hell no, but I'm not a warrior, never have claimed to be. I'm just a peasant who stood My ground and fought to the best of My ability. If that doesn't suit you folks it's no shame on Me, I don't practice sparring, it isn't part of My Caste.
Mortimas made arrangements for his funeral two nights before barging into My Home demanding a fight while everyone was cupped and away elsewhere in RP with Helisto at the time. I returned and obliged him. This is nothing more than suicide by Farmer in My opinion, this was his way of weaseling out of a mess he talked himself into. Do you see ME running from Home to Home, throwing My weight around and running My mouth? He tried it in My Home and I called him on it. Rule on it however you choose.
The only other thing I could suggest would be to question Talarius.
What are you trying to establish, Bart? If Mortimas is dead? The validity of the kill? General input for future learning & reference?
Haigan, I already made my ruling, same goes for you, Wamph. He's dead. Had he actually drawn a sword, stood his ground and carried out his duties as a WARRIOR, I would have ruled MUCH different. The lack of defense at minimum is a non-starter for me. That being said, the whole thing was sloppy, based on emotion, nothing else, and being that I know better, sub par for all involved.

Had the Warrior performed even a basic yet slop shit defense, I would have ruled in favor of the Warrior. Being that he did not, I have to rule in favor of Haigan... And for once, that's not a painful call to make. Wamph, long short of it? Learning.

And your rules, Haigan, should not extend beyond your encampment. The three words that dive the line of thinking? "According to OUR standard". By YOUR standard, the rules set forth should only apply to "The Gorean Frontier". Using verbage such as "Gorean Combat 1-2-1" and sticking to the standard rules of combat? I would agree 100% with the turnout of this attack. However, I cannot due to the legalese

If Mortimus accepted death on that post, it was a case of suicide and He wanted out. Pure and simple. If this is in relation to the log I saw the other day. Oh, and Bart, I've said it for years now and if you've been paying attention to the news and retailer policies "gun control will come in the form of ammunition control." Yes, we have a 2A right to bear arms, but nowhere does it mention a right to possess live ammunition. A rifle with no rounds is a pugil stick. Affix bayonets!.... Seriously though, ya need to invest in some quality reloading gear while you still can and stockpile ammo. Stockpile, stockpile, stockpile.
Just look at the restrictions they weaseled through on .22LR rounds. Stop by Wal-Mart on your way home one day this week, look at the cost now compared to just five years ago then ask how many boxes you can buy. Bear in mind these are one-time use rimfire cartridges, plinking rounds. Next, look into some quality ammo, especially hollow points and fragmentary rounds like Glazers. The cost is ridiculous and the restrictions are tighter than a Kill Hat's rack sheets.
