His Strong Arms

She wakes with a start and a gasp like one who has been underwater for far too long.

Reaching over I pull her small frame to me, she molds herself to me like she has done many times before.

Little leg wrapping around mine.

 Small hand laying on my chest as if feeling my steady heartbeat.

Tucking her head under my chin she's back asleep  before can I place a soft kiss on the top of her head.
