Images...the calm before the Storm

the heat of the sun

               a look in His eyes

a cool breeze in the air

               His breath on her cheek

a light sprinkle begins

               His tongue brushes a feminine curve

the clouds gather

               His fingertips caress

the sky rolls

               a firm tug on golden strands

darkening clouds

               His eyes, knowing

a scattering of drops transform

               His hands clench her wrists

a steady shower begins

               as does His loving assault

the volatile atmosphere

               compels their mutual craving

suddenly, a distant thunder rolls

               she is held imprisoned by His will

a flash of lightning

              igniting the heat between them

the torrent pours

               and she is drenched

the rain pounds

               and she surrenders

the pressure builds

               and she submits

the wind, the rain, the light, the darkness

               His breath, His touch, His kiss, His possession

the tempest subsides

               and they still

for as nature yields to nature

               so her very being does to Him

the freshness of the air

               reflects the peace of her heart

she is the calm.

               He is the Storm.
