Sadly, i do know names of ones lost. Β  Β Β  Lost in World War II, Lost in Vietnam, lost in Β Afghanistan. Β  Lost at enemy hands and sadly, lost at their own on return home. Β  Β  Friends who lost family,Β  people close to me who came close to being added to the list by just minutes. Β  He parked a bike just bought for getting around, stepped into the building andΒ  the bike was blown to pieces before He took his seat Β  Β Β  To my friends who have lost someone close, i offer my love, my prayers, and my thanks for the ultimate sacrifice a family can give to this country. Β  Β Β  To those who have military in their family who have all come home safe.. God bless you and please, hug them tight, Β  Thank whoever it isΒ  you choose to for their safe return. Β  Β  I have a large militaryΒ  presence in my family, and every day i am thankful that they have all returned safe, sane and in one piece. Β  My friends who's family were not so lucky know what this day truly stands for. Please,Β  enjoy your picnics, your trips to the beach, yourΒ  kick back do nothing days, but while you do, throughout the day; take time to remember,Β  to say thank you to those who are not lucky enough to do so, or are no longer able to share the celebration with a family or friend. Β  Β  Make your day a celebration of those lives, and remember what the day is really all about. Β
