Venue contest for

The city/town ( ? ) of Holmesk. Near the Vosk River, the Verl River, and a lot of towns are close enough for trade, with the largest City being Ar, and two major roads are close by too, to accommodate caravans. No seaports, but I have trade agreements with enough cities near the Thassa that it's a negligible point.

Oooh Mistress, Venna is not horribly far either! sevda could see folks stopping in Holmesk on their way to or from visiting the famous baths or the thalarion races.

I'd be happy enough with Holmesk. It rather isolates us from the Thassa but the Vosk is wide enough for some seafaring exploits and there are many towns and cities along its course and around Holmesk. Here's a link to a good map. A port city, or a city near a port or on a large river? Jort's Ferry appears to be an ideal central location. On the Vosk, where it intersects at the Pilgrim's Road. Perfect for those sailing in, and not far from others. The Vosk League could use a bit of fun.......

I'd thought about Jort's Ferry, but being a merchant type, I was looking for caravan routes mostly, though I was thinking about barges and commercial craft as well. The pots and pans must be sold!

Island of Tyros: It is a rugged island with mountains, located 100 pasangs south of Cos and hundreds of pasangs west of Port Kar, Kasra is the capital of Tyros and the only other major city is Tentium. Tyros has trained varts, some the size of small dogs, to be used as weapons. Maelstrom located southwest of Tyros, in which the wreckage of ships occasionally appears. --And I hear there is excellent whale watching there!

But seriously my vote-- Torcadino: Alternately called "Torcodino," this is a crossroads city located on the flats of Serpeto, southeast of Brundisium and southwest of Ar. It is located at the intersection of various routes, the Genesian, Northern Salt Line (runs east to west), Northern Silk Road (runs south to north), the Pilgrim’s Road (leads to the Sardar), and Eastern Way (also known as the Treasure Road, links the western cities with Ar).

It needs to be a place with lots of trade, etc, some where simple so every one can do some rp, Remember there will be all sorts of people, plus the slaves are able to be used. I'm thinking a port / market type place, so it covers many Chars. for this weekend as a trail hell call it the Port of Gor....lets not overly complicate it for this first test run. If it goes to plan and works I have some ideas, .... Rome wasn't built in a day! just a thought as Every One needs to fit in!

I discussed this with Bart and I told Him , We need to make a room and try to make this happen, All the blogs and chat in here will achieve nothing, Either You want it or You don't, This weekend is a simple trial. if it fails then nothings lost........At least We will know People back what They have been asking for ! No Ones been left out of decision but if We had to wait for a majority discussion and decision it would never happen, as Nothing in the blogs is ever resolved.

Port of Gor works.. it means that it can be anywhere or any area of Gor, just limited by the imagination.
