Gandhi's ashes were stolen and his memorial site was defaced on the 150th anniversary of his birth earlier this month. He is widely regarded as a traitor in his homeland of India because of his advocacy for Hindu-Muslim unity which was the impetus for his murder by Indian Hindus in 1948.
That’s unfortunate. bana has little respect for those who would purposely desecrate another’s burial ground or ashes. As for the Man himself, bana is sure he will, like all of us answer for his deeds. It was the meaning that this one interpreted from the quote that caught bana’s attention. Of course evil has many disguises these days. A fact that becomes clearer with each new day.
Sadly so, bana, sadly so.
