No it is not possible to track what room a user is in. The system doesn't store that information for users.

You were not server banned. But the ip you are using was used by someone to harass Buzzen. My guess is you are using a vpn or something that connected to you to the same server as some that person.

I can't speak for other sites, but in Buzzens case the only reason puffin browser was ever recommended for our service was it's flash support. Since Buzzen hasn't used flash in a year then it doesn't matter anymore, any modern browser that supports websockets can be used.

No it is not possible. That is how the irc protocol works. A room must be moderated in order for +/-v to work.

Buzzen does not contain malware. This issue is due to Buzzen testing a new advertiser with more lax image policies than Google allows. I do not know why this issue all of a sudden happened as the advertising code has been part of the Channel List page for a few months now. We are in contact with Google Safe Browsing to sort this issue.

In the meantime you have four options you can do until Google removes the flag from the page.

1) Click on the details button, then click Visit this unsafe site.   Again the site contains no malware.
2) Turn off safe browsing in chromes options - Settings -> Advanced and Toggle Safe Browsing to off
3) Use the alternate channel list at http://chat.buzzen.com/ChannelsList
4) Use Edge or Internet Explorer as they do not use the google safe browsing database, but Microsofts.

Again there is no malware on Buzzen.

Yes, as with any site, or chat, Staff can see sensitive information depending on level of access.

Chanops do not have access to that information.

At approximately 2am EST tonight the web server will need to be rebooted to install updates. This process should be fairly quick, but could take upto 15 minutes.

This update installs a new kernel, and will update some behind the scenes things like control panel and software packages.

Actually, that is a ban for a set period of time (in this case 24 hrs).  And if the person was banned by one of your staff (which would appear to be the case since the chatter has access to other rooms), it is clearly not a server issue.

The problem with irc.buzzen.net is fixed so shouldn't be an issue now. but on a side note, soulfly does allow for changing the server if done right, but soulfly connection is very old and hasn't been maintained in years. A lot of things will not work correctly in it with how Buzzen is today
