perhaps it not so much using ignore as it is Not feeling protected by hosts,,, just using ignore does not always work against the vile vulgar whispers that will leave after being ignored, come back in and start again. Used to be able to tell a host and they would look into the situation and warn the  offender, now its IGNORE,,  No protection at all,

Vulgar whispers can be solved by turning them off...if someone wants to whisper you, they can ask in the room. Unfortunately, it might sometimes be a bit embarrassing if there is a decline, but hey at least you're not suffering the vulgarity  pretty simple fix I'd say.
